2nd Training School: "Wastewater Resource Recovery Technologies"

The second Training School called "Wastewater Resource Recovery Technologies", was held in Nicosia (Cyprus) from 29 - 31 October 2014. It was efficiently coordinated by Ioannis Vyrides, from the Cyprus University of Technology.

 

It was an intensive course that included lectures, practical sessions and a technical visit to the wastewater treatment plant of Moni (Limassol, Cyprus). The main topics of the course were about the recovery of metals or cellulose from wastewater treatment plants; the production of struvite and biopolymers from different types of wastewaters; industrial food waste valorisation or even biohydrogen production from industrial wastes.

 

This 2nd Training School was composed by 40 postgraduate participants from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Israel, Egypt, Sweden, Belgium, Spain and Portugal, among other countries.
